Scenic Subjects In Western North Carolina, spellbinding vistas are everywhere. Mountain views draw you into the distance with subtle shades of blue. Vivid greens play over the fields and forests, and flamboyant flowers gather in colorful groups or strike a solo pose. I try to capture these vibrant scenes in miniscule proportions through the medium of cloisonné, and occasionally larger enamelwork.
"Summer Tree" "Blue Ridge Sunset" Fine silver cloisonné, set in sterling constructed pendants embellished with fire agates and freshwater pearls, and hung from wide Omega sterling chains. "Blue Ridge Sunset" also has a peach moonstone on its bail. These cloisonné pieces are approximately 40 mm in height and 30 mm in width....tiny renditions of reality. Blue Ridge Sunset is Sold Summer Tree is available
"Winter Sunset" This set was made for the "Full Spectrum" show at Timpson Creek Gallery in Clayton Georgia. The cloisonné jewel has fine silver wires on a 24K base (the 24K helps the sunset colors stay warm), and is set in a hand fabricated sterling setting which swings from a Fire Agate and Turquoise bail. The necklace is turquoise nuggets, sterling beads and "nutmeg" freshwater pearls. The matching earrings are teardrop turquoise cabochon posts with "nutmeg" pearls nestled inside a hollow of silver as dangles. SOLD
